How to preview a Lottie animation
Check an animation before adding it to your website or app. The viewer plays Lottie JSON and .lottie files directly in your browser.
1. Open your animation
Drop a .json or .lottie file into the viewer, or choose Open Lottie. No file ready? Try the sample above to explore a working animation. For .lottie archives with multiple animations, the viewer opens the active animation or the first one.
2. Check motion and contrast
Play or pause the animation and switch its background color. A transparent background helps you see how the artwork will fit on your page; light and dark backgrounds reveal edges and contrast issues.
3. Inspect and export
Check dimensions, duration, frame rate, file size, layers and assets in Animation Details. Download a JSON copy or use Open in editor to adjust the animation. These details describe the file; they are not a rendering performance score.
Do I need an account?
Previewing and downloading are free without signup. Your file is read in your browser. If you choose to save an animation to your account, a copy is uploaded so you can open it later.
